
About the Role
Provides leadership, guidance and training to information systems security personnel
Reviews, implements, updates and documents companywide information security policies and procedures
Manages security audits and vulnerability and threat assessments, and directing responses to network or system intrusions
Ensures fulfillment of legal and contractual security and privacy mandates
Provides executive management with compliance reports and audit findings.
Assumes command and supervision of security officers on daily basis.
Inspects posts and observes the efficiency of personnel assigned.
Trains, evaluates and disciplines subordinate personnel.
Generates and reviews various administrative documents including but not limited to; daily work schedules, payroll, audits, and drills.
Monitors and reports infractions of rules, policies and procedures.
Makes appropriate recommendations to the Director of Security or designee for corrective action.
Conducts investigations as directed and/or required.
Assists local police agencies during investigations or emergencies.
Performs other duties as assigned or necessitated by departmental need.
Requirements
A high school qualification or equivalent.
Registered as an armed security officer
2 years of experience as a Security Supervisor or military
Basic first aid/CPR & AED skills
Physical strength and fitness.
Good understanding of legal guidelines for security and public safety
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent sense of judgment
Basic computer skills
